wow 5 cds
anyone know what's on it i'm guessing one or two shows from 1993 maybe boston and toronto
plus a disc of studio outtakes
and maybe something crazy like the 77 toronto sessions on the super deluxe
and it's out a week or so after my birthday

Huh, I remember somebody here saying this was absolutely not going to happen. Happy he was wrong. Will be interesting to see how this one turns out. I would like to comment to anyone here that might have something to do with producing it. Please don't cram too much into a tight area, causing warps and other damage. Other than that I love the other 2 boxes.

This past week I've had the album on a lot, rediscovering these songs. Terrific album, ageing very well.

You really got to wonder what they have to fill five CDs… Even if they put a concert on two CDs and the original album on one CD there are still two more CDs to fill – maybe one CD is in fact a concert DVD and the other features some alternates and/or outtake…

Sorry, but it's not a 5 CD boxset, it's a 3LP + 2 CD boxset.

A reissue of the second solo album, originally released in 1992, was co-produced by Steve Jordan, a well-established collaborator of "Talk Is Cheap".
The album was recorded in California and New York with friendly musicians hidden under the label "The X-Pensive Winos" from March to September 1992.

I was wondering what could fill 5 CDs. Then I thought, oh no. Could be the album of course, Eileen EP and the 2 singles, leaving 1 disc for possible rarities. Hope I'm wrong though. Sure the box and some of the contents will be nice like the others.

most likely it will be: the original album + some outtakes/alternates – both on vinyls and CDs plus one vinyl single (Eileen) plus some gimmicks…

so keith thinks main offender is worth release as a deluxe version
huh well maybe he can convince mick to do the same with emotional rescue, voodoo lounge, or wandering spirit

anyway sad that it's not a 5 cd set but hey it's still sounds great hope crosseyed heart is next or would that be to far fetched

Well, Main Offender was not exactly the greatest of albums, and if CD2 is similar to CD2 of Talk Is Cheap the whole package is rather non-essential... the Czech site has the price of the 2CD version at ~15 EUR. That sounds more reasonable than whatever three digit € figure is given for the deluxe version - the gimmick possibly being a pink cap handknitted by Keith himself?

Maybe they'll mix it down to mono. The way it was 'meant' to be heard.

Jams with Johnnie Johnson, Keith and Mick Taylor are "non-essential"? Well...

I guess we'll get a live show this time with Main Offender.

Probably the Marquee Club show from December 2nd 1992, as it already exists on good quality bootlegs. But I hope it was filmed as well!

Maybe the birthday show at Town & Country. "Gimme shelter" has already been released on a single CD in Japan years ago.
