Sounds great, and while you're at it do you have a simple explanation (or a link) to one explaining how these newsgroups work, how they differ from downloading torrents, how to use them, etc? I am assuming I'm using the right term, newsgroups, for these type of alt/binary thingees?

who,when,why,whatever...
thanx - much appreciated

They apparently are home recordings from 1961 - 1962, with the MJ/KR nucleus. Recorded in Dartford, no Brian, Charlie, or Bill.

I had it in my signature, but I am not sure why it suddenly showed up, never seen it appear before. A variation is 'don't let your sandwich spread'.

BTW, great drummer on Little Queenie grinning smiley

as I saw the torrent yesterday I realized that there are 3 more songs and wanted to offer them on Dime too - 2 of them I found on a double-CD but I still don't know and can't find the damned CD which helds "Wee Baby Blues" on it. May I ask for your help please? I'm absolutely sure that I have it but with the title of the CD you could help me to find and to seed it.

THANKS

Yeah, newsgroups is the right word. Basically it's a forum or big bulletin board, where people can discuss a wide variety of subjects. To structure this, each subject is supposed to have its own group. So, eg there is alt.rock-n-roll.stones, rec.travel.europe, or comp.lang.java. To access, you will need a newsgroup reader, which are avaialble for all platforms. I use a Mac , and am very happy with MT-NewsWatcher. I am sure there a good programs out there for a Windows-PC as well. Once you have the program installed, you will need to check with your ISP what the address is of the 'newsserver', allowing you to access the usenet. Then just RTFM of your usenet program and you're all set to go. Most programs can also download binaries (large documents such as music, pics, etc). The newsgroup alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.m has many Stones boots.
