Anybody Seen My Baby? Live

I seem to be one of the few people on this board who loves this song. I think it's amazing and shows how the Stones can get outside of the box and still rock. But I've never heard a live version of it. Does anyone have a live version?

I think the record was pretty good and was treated very unfairly.

That said, I saw them do it onstage many times and it was never anything other than a mess.

Great song - and the only good one on BTB - but absolutely terrible live. It's the lowpoint of every live boot I've heard from tat tour. Stick to the studio version.

I haven't heard a great deal of live versions but I think the best is from the Double Door club show.

it was an awful live version at the beginning of the Babylon tour...
but the european versions of the song were quit cool IMO...nothing wrong with it.
For example the version from the Bremen show was cool indeed.

I have a version from the Toronto rehearsals on my PC. If someone can explain how to use yousendit, I will post it. If not e-mail me privately.

I like the song, but it didn't go over live. The studio sound didn't translate. Barnard did the rap.

It sounds pretty good on the St Louis 97 boot I have.

I like it!

Allow me to play devil's advocate for a moment and say it's a good song if you like The Stones performing material written by kd lang and Ben Mink.

Now don't get me wrong, kd's got great pipes and does a nice version of Orbison's Crying, but when it comes to ASMB, I can't get over the fact that it's stolen from Constant Craving, . . . not the kind of influence I want to associate with the Stones, particulary live in concert.

yes its a nice song that was played well at times live
i liked the version that included ronnies solo in the live version
but it was did away with shortly after the start of the tour
for a slicker faster version

I strongly disagree, the more I listen to B2B, I think it really stands up. Saint of Me, Out of Control, and You got me Rocklin' all are great rockers. If the Stones would get more radio air play, (by this I mean if Rock wasn't broken into so many genre's) I think this album would could be up there with some of their best stuff.

YGMR is from VL, moreover its lyrics are a bit . . . uhm, simple, at least to be in the category of great rockers, Rocks Off, Brown Sugar, SFM, etc.
I agree with you about Saint Of Me, that could've been from any era, and stands up well.
Out of Control, I've never understood the attraction, but to each his own I suppose.

But to return to ASMB, it's still a kd lang song in Stones clothing.

I like the studio version of Anybody Seen My Baby alot, but I agree that every live version I have heard of it sucks. Some songs just don't work live, and some work better live. Out of Control never did much for me until I heard it live. Same with Saint of Me. The live versions of those songs are much better than the studio versions.
