Count me WAY in with the minority who dig "Always Sufferin". For some reason that tune always reminds me of "Loving Cup". I always picture Keith and Jagger playing those tunes in a garden. Weird.

Rev. Robert W. wrote "Woody's "Mystifies Me" from "I've Got My Own Album To Do."

Great choice!! It's a beautiful album that every Stones fan should own.
Not only because of Jagger, Richards and Taylors contribution, but there are so many great songs on this album: I can feel the fire, Act Together, Am I Groovin' You, Sure The One You Need etc.etc.

If you don't have this album yet, go run to the nearest Starbucks, uh I mean record store and buy it!

Chelsea:

Exactly. I had this image of a video with the Stones seated in a circle doing the song--pretty straightforward. There would have to be other stuff in there and I wouldn't want to go too obvious (like the "Streets Of Love" video) but to do something a little different.

Anyway, thanks guys for backing up "Always Suffering." I feel so validated.

I would be so happy (and so pleasantly surprised) if "ABB" were to age as well as "Bridges" has...I really think "Bridges" was a creative high for them.

Yes, Big fan of Bridges. Gunface could be one of my all time favorite stones tracks. It's just mean!

Is No Expectations considered country or blues?

Rockman - sounds fair enough to me

Cafaro - does that meet your criteria?

Some of the Stones's 'country' songs certainly sound more authentic [to me] than the drivel that's touted as country these days.
I'd love it if they performed this stuff at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. This would be a great place for them to do a 'small' show. The Ryman has some of the best acoustics you could want. One of Willie's shows with Keith was recorded here.

Sweetcaroline2,

I wasn't sure to whom you were responding, looking back at the thread it looks like eric:

Claudine
Do You Think I Really Care
etc

I believe that Eric's referencing the song Do You Think I Really Care (a/k/a Yellow Cab):

Do you think I could ever care
'Bout a girl, who's never there?
Do you think I could ever care
'Bout a girl who's never there?
I saw her on the subway
Saw her on the D-train
Saw her in the afternoon
After all the Giants' games
Saw her on the freeway
Saw her on a highway
Gimme a break, I need a Yellow Cab
Help me get outta this rain

. . .

It's kind of Midnight Cowboy Country (not a lot of yellow cabs in Texas)

Cafaro,

Don't forget We Had It All, great song. I've got it on the same vinyl as Do You Think I Really Care . . . perhaps it was the country album that never was?

Here's one review of it by ChrisM that I agree with:

This infamous Richards classic has been prolifically copied on recordings featuring the unreleased works of the " Human Riff", even when its inclusion is out of date content wise. Incredible country soul sung by the master in his prime. I have to remind myself that this can't be found on Emotional Rescue when I come across it. This track is finished, and it's a terrible loss for Richards that is has never been officially released. This one is buried treasure!
