No Wembley?

No talk of it and thankfully not. Awful venue for live music with piss poor sound. Not to be confused with the old Wembley which stood on the same spot and regularly hosted live music until it closed in 2000.

beside that – why should the play Wembley when the are already doing two shows at Hyde Park?

I think Hyde Park is only open for gigs within a specified time range and any additional demand may require a different venue.

And from what I have read here and elsewhere, Wembley is a terrible venue. Might be why they have never played it, though it's never really stopped them elsewhere.

Stones were originally scheduled to play at Wembley on ABB tour in 2006. Had to move to Twickenham when Wembley construction was delayed.

I hope they will come to Cologne, Duesseldorf or Gelsenkirchen!
I would pay max 200€

My guess is that of the three before mentioned cities, Düsseldorf is the most likely. The sound in the Arena in Gelsenkirchen is as bad as it is in Amsterdam, plus they have played Düsseldorf many times before (always very good Shows) and seem to be okay with that location.

Duesseldorf is indoor. So maybe they decide to play Cologne this time. But then someone mentioned Frankfurt as well.

Düsseldorf is not indoor but a stadium with a roof that can be closed

I've seen a lot off people moan about the sound but the shows I went to there were awesome (maybe I had standing tickets so the sound was better, maybe?)

sound was horrible in 2017. Sounded like there was a ventilator blowing really hard. I can imagine it was only bad at some places.

Most modern stadia have poor sound, depending on where you're sitting or standing.

They're just too enclosed, with no design consideration for music events.

The sound is usually fine if you're on the pitch but worsens the nearer you get the the enclosed stands and structures.

The best sounding stadium shows I've attended were the three shows, VL, BTB and ABB at the now demolished Sheffield Don Valley Stadium. The stadium was very open with only a few low covered stands around the periphery.

I saw AC/DC in Wembley (standing tickets): horrible.
Two days later I saw them open air on a field in Belgium: terrific.

Exactly the same gig of course... it's AC/DC.

Austrian media reports again that the Vienna gig is fixed, now July 23rd is assumed to be probable. Lyon is scheduled for July 19.
In total 14 gigs should take place this summer.
The tour announcement is predicted for March 9th.

You got a link to the Austrian news story, please?

Because yesterday OE24.at had a story saying it was going to be either the 22nd or the 23rd. [www.oe24.at]

It's reported it's more likely July 23rd because Jagger wants a three-day break between gigs...

I agree the 23rd makes sense if you're doing Lyon on the 19th. Both from a rest and a logistics standpoint.

Just in time for the best tour ever. Always a good idea to check sites like bandsintown to see if you can multi-task with other acts who may be "in town" at the same time as the Stones. I'm eyeing a Social Distortion/Stones twofer in Munich, e.g.

if they do 14 shows and the tour starts in early June Vienna might be the end of the tour. As I pointed out before: 12 shows fit nicely in between Munich (June 5) and Vienna (July 23) if they stick to the pattern of three days off between shows

Joe Jackson's springtime European Tour had been postponed. Stones are starting later in the year, so hopefully Covid won't be a threat to their tour.

A Paris date is still on the table and being worked on.

Last time frame on the table was second week of June. Stade de France.
Nothing possible in July for Paris(red hot, Coldplay), Parc des Prince is a long shot,UArena is off the table, as IS Bercy.

Could be a start in Munich Jun 5 and Paris being week end show June 10/11

They WANT to do Paris.
