Taylor1So that makes it better? New York City crime has skyrocketed.People are being shot in Times Square in broad daylight.Prostitution is brazenly going on the streets of Queens.People are afraid to ride the subways. The parks are open air drug dens..Don’t lecture me about crime.I was a New York prosecutor for over 20 years in the Westchestef County District Attorney’s Office.Soon ICE will be abolished so any non citizen can victimize someone and they will get away with it.Quote
RokyfanDo you have any idea what the crime rate is in New York, with the recent rise, compared to say St. Louis, Detroit, or most us cities?Quote

Why no New York? The city has had a hugesurge in violentcrime in the last year, but I’m sure the band has body to escort them
I didn’t think so.

I cannot express how disappointed I am that Vancouver was cancelled. Stones haven't played in Western Canada since 2006... I'm disappointed they couldn't hold off and announce it later, if possible, and cancel later if need be.
Yeah but Cannada have gone a bit radical in recent times, a bit over the top when it comes to covid, can't say as I'm surprised the Stones saw that venue as too risky, same situation with New York.
Where is this Cannada that you speak of?
(I think that’s enough quality control on what you’ve said to go no further with the rest)
Yes Beasty, there’s a few disappointed folk round Vancouver for sure. I got a few messages this morning. It’s the absolute tits for some people who were hoping to see them for the first time. 15 years is a long time while Toronto has got a few shows in that period. I was hoping to get to see a gig without travel for the first time since Slane 2007 but alas it is not to be.
Maybe next year a Canadian tour to make up for it!

I grabbed tix this morning for Charlotte, Pittsburgh and Detroit...
My buddy had held onto our seats for Louisville, so this evening he used the link for a Nashville purchase that came via the TM cancellation email and grabbed a pair...
Next week, I will shoot for Vegas seats, but it hurts to know I should skip the LA gig, as I've been hoping The Stones would book a show at SoFi... who knows, maybe I'll go all-in and go west twice for this run!
Who else with seats for the cancelled 4 shows got a link for the alternate purchase? Our Louisville tix offered us a chance for Nashville only, so we grabbed a nice pair.
Gonna be a short wait for this leg, I'm ready!

Do they do Lucky Dips for Stadium shows?

Manofwealthandtaste
They are zigzagging around geographically on these dates......restricted by venue availability presumably.

That means that all of them are in good health and good shape to take on the job. I wonder how much rehearsing they will need after all these months spent at home. Good luck to them; they are amazing!

Oh well, guess I won’t be going to Vancouver. NOLA Jazzfest is a possibility, although that is in the middle of hurricane season.

What a bunch of crap about cancelling Buffalo. There were September dates available right before the Pittsburgh show. The Bills have a home game on 9/12 against Pittsburgh then no home game until 9/26. Two weeks off. They could have opened in Buffalo.
Even in October, they play Houston on 10/3 then two road games and a bye week with no home game until 10/31. An entire month of open dates. Absolutely ridiculous tour scheduling bouncing around. They screw Buffalo, Toronto and other Canadian fans with this scheduling. Bad excuses.

I'm too lazy to check, did they offer any links for the pre-sales for the newly announced venues?
No links yet, but I guess the presale dates were announced, at least for LA it will be on the 27th. Vegas says "onsale date and times are in the works".
New Orleans doesn't even appear on TM as of yet.

Fantastic news and hopefully the Stones follow Eric Clapton's announcement in declaring he will not play in venues that only allow the vaccinated to attend.
Too right, i think by now even the most naive individuals amoung us are starting to see that so called vaccines don't work properly.

That's usually the general consensus. However, I've seen some pretty good openers:
J. Geils
George Thorogood
Stone Temple Pilots
Living Colour
Spin Doctors

I haven't gotten any emails yet for my cancelation of Vancouver and Cleveland with offers of other shows. I wonder when I do if they will offer me LDs at new venues to replace my LDs from those two canceled shows.

I just spent several weeks in New York. It's inundated by drunk college students. I took the subway at night deep in the boroughs to meet friends, and it's no different from when I lived in dicey neighborhoods. Keep an eye out, be a little tough, and you'll be fine. It's a great city. Whoever posted that garbage is a fool.

Was staring at the Vegas date earlier while deeply contemplating and meditating, and it suddenly dawned on me that is my wife's BIRTHDAY!!!
Gotta make it happen.. she loves Vegas...and the Stones...L.A. and Vegas here we come....
