Isn't the statement "Rock stars growing old gracefully" a contradiction in terms?

Johnny Cash musically grew old gracefully with the American Recordings. Tom Jones’ recent album touches the issues of growing older. And than there’s Mick Jagger: speeding up his singing and antics up to the level of cartoonesk exaggeration.
Where will this end gracefully?

documentation of his doctor visits? Of his problems with erection? (oh man, a sure number one hit and media would go nuts, although there he already ages go admitted he has problems with getting his rocks off?).

What I mean is this: eventually old age catches up with every one, including the Dartford Dude. How is Jagger going to adapt? I am not trying to put him down. I am interested in how to combine physical decline with great showmanship.

Jagger wishes he could sing like Tom Jones. And thats not a new thing.
