Nice little gem with Brian on guitar.

Yes, it’s a great song.

I wasn’t aware that Brian is featured, but I knew it’s Jimmy Page producing and taking the solo.

Wonderful song. She was a great artist who never broke through. This is a perfect release for its time though. Bad management. Sadly she had all the excesses and tragic end of a doomed rock star.

Wow, I really enjoyed that song. I'd never heard it before and it was completely not what I expected! Thanks for sharing.

Rather sad her deterioration in later years and her untimely death

She probably went down the path that we might have feared for Brian.

Was there ever any (credible) data that Brian ever dabbled with using heroin which, by 68, became a choice drug of so many British rock stars within and around the Stones?

Heroin rarely leads anywhere productive, and she was hooked on it from the early days. And, birds of a feather, they do flock together. If Brian wasn't doing heroin per se, he certainly was doing parallel substances as "prescribed" by his Dr Feelgood.

Brian was more into pills than powders.
Mandrax was used quite a lot then.

BTW - People can very well be productive on heroin. Like often it depends on dose and length of addiction.

Not so with mandrax. Just look at Brian on those well known video/photo recordings from the Beggars sessions.

That's what I've always thought, too. I've always suspected it's solely Jimmy Page on guitar.
