Indeed. Lead guitar, I'd say.

Yes. The lead-intro is very 'Hendrix'

Yes Dandy - it's a combo rhythm lead mix? One comment, please. The lead singer of the Goodtimers sounds a little similar (of course not he same) to Jagger.

Wow I guess Jr. Walker & All-Stars didn't write "Shotgun"? That was their signature song. BTW I saw them in concert on a street corner in Greenville, NC with around 300-500 in attendance circa 1978-1980

If you look very carefully at the Jimi clip posted by thomashanck, you will se at about 1.02 in Jimi taking his right hand off the guitar neck and running his wrist up and down the strings which later was one of his trade mark moves.

So he was doing this in 1964 way before he found fame.

Thanks for posting the clip thomashanck

>Wow I guess Jr. Walker & All-Stars didn't write "Shotgun"?

Wikipedia:

"Shotgun" is a song by Junior Walker & the All Stars, released as a single in 1965. It was written and composed by Walker and produced by Berry Gordy Jr. and Lawrence Horn.[1] It reached number one on the U.S. R&B Singles chart for four non-consecutive weeks and peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 on the week ending 3 April 1965.[2]

Note the video was after Jr Walker had the hit with the song...these guys were covering it.
