Have you ever been to concert when Mick Taylor was a Stone?

I saw then in Philadelphia at the long gone Spectrum arena and in 1972 at same venue. I don't think as a band they were never better musically live. Unbelievable guitars that complimented each other.Bill's throbbing bass. Slashing rhythm and searing leads. I wish everyone could have witnessed that version of the band. No other bamd could come close.

Unfortunately, no. It was nice to see him guest in 2013 and they played Sway which was cool!

Hello StonedAsiaExile,

It was Ron Wood in Dallas 1975.

My mistake.

I have now corrected it and edited
my post, above.

Thanks for pointing that out.

When that many years have passed,
sometimes the memory fails.

October 9 1970 Amsterdam (RAI)
March 9 1971 Bristol (Colston Hall)
October 2 1973 Hamburg (Ernst Merck Halle)

The band was very powerful and energetic, believing in themselves and their fans.
But ... without exception, so were they, but differently, during all those shows I saw them with Ronnie and with/without Bill. Never had a dull moment with The Rolling Stones cool smiley

Odds:
cancelled 1969 Hyde Park last minute due to Brian Jones' sudden tragic death sad smiley
saw him in 2012 November 24 as special guest in the O2 Arena, London
saw him as special guest in Hyde Park 2013
saw him in four concerts during the 14 on Fire Tour in 2014 (Abu Dhabi, Stockholm (Sweden), Landgraaf (NL) and Düsseldorf (Germany)
missed him (and the Stones offcourse) twice in Australia 2014, Hanging Rock confused smiley (great country to visit!)
saw him a couple of times solo:
100 Club, London 2003
three times in the Netherlands

Indeed thumbs up and do you remember if the sax player was white (=Bobby Keys) or black (= Trevor Lawrence)?

Yes,

Essen 1970
And some 1973 gigs.

Among them the 3 Essen shows,
where I worked as a local roadie.
Helping with the Stones Mobile.
That's how I know they recorded them.

Madison Square Garden July 25, 1972 (evening show). My first Stones show. I remember being amazed at the leads he played. Ya-Yas was my main point of reference at that time, and I was a total Keith fan and always thought of him as the Stones lead guitarist.

That sounds great. As far as I know there's only one audience recording from Essen 1970. Is there any chance they recorded that with the Stones Mobile; that would be an amazing hidden gem ?

LA Forum, 1969, first show. He was brand new to the group, and there was an incredible excitement and anticipation surrounding this show for a lot of reasons, not the least of which was to see and hear this young blues guitarist. He/they did not disappoint.

I've seen him as a Bluesbreaker at the Roxy in '82 which was better than many of the Stones shows I've attended (musically speaking).
And then back in his rightful place as a Stone (but labeled a "guest") six times back in 2013 where he was no doubt the highlight - especially the second L.A. Staples show, May 20.
Also saw him as a solo act w/his band at the 100 Club in London, 2003.

Would have loved to have seen him live with the Stones back in their prime, but thankfully there's plenty of audio and video documentation from that era to enjoy.

That show IMO was one of the best Shows of the tour. How there is no decentaudio or video recordingsof these great 72 shows is a shame
