Two standouts from the selections mentioned, are Bob Marley's 'Live', and excellent album, and the Who's 'Live at Leeds'. Those two would go right below my first five. Duke Ellington at Newport is another great. I'm surprised no one else picked Band of Gypsys.

Band of Gypsies was Hendrix falling apart and that horrible Buddy Miles just made it worse. I saw them live once...most boring show i think i have ever seen with Hendrix involved. And when Jimi let Miles play guitar...i considered just leaving then and there.

Not my favorite Hendrix but "Machine Gun" is genius.
1. Blue Oyster Cult -- On Your Feet or on Your Knees
2. Little Feat -- Waiting for Columbus
3. Otis Redding -- Monterey Pop Festival
4. The Beach Boys -- Concert (early 70s band)
5. The Kinks -- live LP of Everybody's in Showbiz
Could flip Ya Yas with any of those.

Strange that nobody has mentioned "Jerry Lee Lewis live at Star Club" yet. It's not in my top 5, but it's darn good.
I can't make a "top 5" myself. That's way too few. That's like asking "you can keep 3 fingers, the rest will be chopped off - which fingers will you choose?"
So I'll make a top 5 Dylan....that, I can do
