Can someone explain for a man still living in the 70's: If you have a paid subscription on Spotify - can you download
and save an infinite amount of songs on your device or external memory stick then? (I have only a free subscription)

That’s what I would like to know, too. If this isn’t possible, then I’m really not interested. I still use an iPod Classic in my Beats By Dre dock. It’s antiquated, but the music is my own. I’m not sure I’ll ever be ready for online-only rental music. It seems to disposable.

I like his better than Bono's recent attempt to be ''relevant."

Mick's list: very interesting. He really is getting antsy I guess, with the release of such stuff as this list, and the video showing him doing chores.
For those above with questions about putting on "ipod", etc:
Some years ago I spent a couple of months putting 507 albums onto micro-SD for
my mp3 player.
NOTE FOR LEGAL SCHMEGALS, on this site: I once had a vinyl record collection of these 507 albums, all of them purchased !, but could not bring them when I moved away from my home country.
Now back to the topic: I would advise checking out the program (app) called "Replay Music". It is not free, you have to buy it, and it's US$20 or something like that. With that you can "record". I subscribed to Spotify and a couple of others for the 2 months that I was doing this. Note that "Replay Music" is
a Windows program, and I am not sure of what other operating systems it works on.
It has been some years now since I did this, so it is all unclear what I did now. But figure you have to subscribe to Spotify (or other), and you have to pay for the "Replay Music" program. At least that is what I did.
At any rate my 400 pound (180 kilogram) vinyl record collection is now on a 1 gram micro-SD card, and I am happily listening on my mp3 player and will never look back to vinyl again.
And for those that say that mp3 does not compare to vinyl, please research human age relevant to hearing ability. For people in old age, it is impossible for them to even hear the difference between a 192 mbps mp3 and a flac file etc. It is a proven medical fact. Even though they "think" they can hear a difference.
Before doing my recordings, as described above, I took a test to see what level of mbps I had to go up to. The results were that I could not tell the difference between 192 kbps and anything higher than that, so I did my recordings at 192 mbps and saved a lot of space.
