There’s definitely an open G part on this track, but I’n hearing the main riff in standard — G to a C6.

Yeah, how about dissecting all of about five guitars in Tumbling Dice? I still don’t know which one Jagger purportedly plays.

Here’s the instrumental to get you started:

I’ve got some Mick Taylor stuff, including what sounds like MT playing open E on the instrumental track of Dancing With Mr. D (which is in E rather than A):

Not a guitarist myself, but you present this so well.

Hey MonkeyMan2000,

Here’s a look (not by me) of the Andalusian Cadence. Context is Paul Simon’s “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover.” Of course, all I can hear now is “Struggle”!

That is great! I love that channel. I think the great thing with Struggle is that the cadence is used so sparsely, that makes it even more spicy.

If you like that kind of stuff you might like Paco Cepero's Agua Marina. It's quite a popular Flamenco song and maybe you've already heard it. It's very "Pop"-Flamenco and some of the purists hate that kind of stuff, but I like it anyway.

On the contrary, I would in fact love to do a Mick Jagger Riff Cousins series! But I’m not sure who would watch.confused smiley

And to me all guitars sound like they are Keith. Maybe a very rare fith one here and there very low down in the mix to the right that can be MT but I really can't hear that there is anything but Keith.

Taylor only plays bass. Jagger is credited on guitar in the album liner notes. Most likely one of the open G-guitars.

Long time, no riffing!

Here is a quickie look at “Living in the Heart of Love,” Keith’s part plus Mick Taylor solo:

I take a crack at the “Slide inst.” medley from “Slide on Live.” I wanted it to be a continuous take; I wander off in a couple spots (especially Amazing Grace), but anyway … one of my favorite Ronnie things ever:

Totally amazed by your analysis on the G7 original ADTL intro. I was definitely one of those people who'd associate So Divine to the PIB intro, but you're spot on working out what he did there. By looking at the way Keith plays ADTL live there'd be no way to make the connection. To me the 2005 rendition you showed in the beginning sounds even slightly out of tune when compared with the one in the SAL film. I wonder why he changed that intro so drastically
