Yeah, Happy birthday!

I've met him once...very friendly guy! I had a band once called Steven Ale & The Hitman and made him write that on my ticket. He asked me...are you the Hitman? I said yes. He said: aren't you supposed to kill people then?

He shakes hands like a women by the way! Very weak handshake...

Wish you many more years Bill!

Yes. Last time Bill was having his birthday in Oslo Gary Brooker did a one-off performance of Whiter Shade of Pale as saying happy birthday. I don't think Gary Brooker is here now but another birthday in the same venue in Oslo is calling for something special.

Bill is currently on a 10-date tour in Norway, part of his European tour:

Tuesday 18th October 2005 Kulturhus, Surnadal
Wednesday 19th October 2005 Kulturhus, Sunndal
Thursday 20th October 2005 Kulturhus, Molde
Friday 21st October 2005 Lillehamer
Saturday 22nd October 2005 Ibsenhuset, Skien
Monday 24th October 2005 Konserthus, Oslo
Tuesday 25th October 2005 Teater Drammen, Drammen
Wednesday 26th October 2005 Konserthus, Stavangar
Thursday 27th October 2005 By Scenen, Haugesund
Friday 28th October 2005 Grieghallen, Bergen

Report from his show in Sunndalsøra in Aura Avis (local paper):

I will see him at 3 of these shows this week!

Eddie Floyd... I'm not a big soul lover but I did love what he did. He did 634-56789, Knock On Wood, Soulman, all the famous stuff, you know. Albert Lee also rocks, he's a country guitarist and he has some mind-dazzling licks. So does Andy Fairweather Low by the way. They were even better than I expected and I bet you'll feel the same! Have a good time...

And maybe you should bring him some flowers or something. Some picks maybe, haha! I bet he'll love that. And don't forget to get his autograph, maybe bring a CD or book of his to get signed. With me, he just kneeled down in a corner of the stage and sat there signing. I got my ticket signed and a handshake and I told him it was great...

Happy Birthday Bill! Miss you in The Stones lineup!

This is the third time i see him at the same place. He turned 60 the first time. I met him backstage that last time and he is such a sweet guy. Got loads of records autographed, and he really liked to se that Monkey Grip was one of them. See some of you in Oslo then.

Happy Birthday Bill Wyman! Play that bass again for me!

Even if I wasn't too enthusiastic about your concert in my hometown last year (announced as "the last concert of the Rhythm Kings ever"), I still appreciate your contribution to rock music and to the sound of the Rolling Stones especially. If there has been a real band member in the Stones except of Charlie it must have been you. You never wanted to show off, you just kept that rhythm grooving. Thanks for this and many great songs containing the sound of your bass! Also thanks for attending Brian's funeral, thanks for showing respect to Howlin' Wolf, thanks for your books about the Stones, the blues and whatever. Even if Keith Richards and many Stones fans don't recognize your efforts, you're still the best bass player the Stones ever had. I wish all these guys would have your bass playing wiped out from all their tapes and records.

Many Happy Returns, Bill.
I'll see you again on the UK leg of the tour.

You might have to scrape me off the floor at the end of the tour, but it'll be really good scrapings. - Mick Jagger

Just heard him on the Radio. He said the best Stones tour ever was Steel Wheels and the following European Urban Jungle tour. I guess Wyman has a few time gasps in his brain, but then you wonder is Atlantic City 89 the best Stones show ever? If so arent we all glad to have it? Havent played it for years.
