Thanks for sharing that. Very interesting. It's just too much for my ears. I love the album version so much this one gives me a bit of cognitive dissonance. Which isn't to say it's worse, just that for me...I just don't like it as much.
The album version just 'takes off' more and even though this is 'groovier' as you say it just feels like it's a bit muted. Like it isn't reach it's full emotional potential, if that makes sense.
Sounds like a sample of the original Tumbling Dice riff used a lot in there.
