Thanks, guys. I'm having some problems with You Send It on getting the next song ("You Can't Always Get What You Want") uploaded. It's a 12.5 MB MP3. I'm working on it.

Note: the heart of the setlist is here. After "YCAGWYW", you have "Midnight Rambler", "Honky Tonk Women", "All Down the Line", "Rip This Joint", "Jumping Jack Flash", and the extraordinary finale of the Wembley "Street Fighting Man".

I'm hoping to get the remainder of this uploaded, but it may take some time. My sincerest apologies.

OK, I skipped ahead to a smaller file--

"Honky Tonk Women"

Here's "You Can't Always Get What You Want", featuring a solo by Bobby Keys in which he literallly blows his lungs out. This solo, IMHO, inspired Ronnie Wood's famous "flutter solo" in 75-76.

Are you friggin kidding me?!?!

You, my friend, certainly do not need to apologize to anyone.
These tracks are an incredible gift.

Thanx again, and again, and again.

I have a better idea -- I'll just send the contents of the entire show to Stonefan, if he would like to put it on Rockpassion.

Nicely done, but NOTHING beats the quality of the original KBFH Reel to Reel tapes...

Next best, in my opinion, is the MCV Royal Sound 2 LP set, European Tour 1973...nice "smiley face" eq of the original tapes.

Enjoy,

JR

It is remarkable and I can swear that I have exactly this version of "Brown Sugar" with exactly this intro and the same guitar work WITHOUT THE SOLO OF BOBBY KEYS AND THE BRASS SECTION on tape. Were they cut out, or are they overdubbs, and your takes represent a stage to the unedited live album, while I have the basic tracks?

From what I've read, the original tapes were remixed for the 1987 rebroadcasts. Thus, the so-called "horn mix" of Brown Sugar, which I much prefer over the original. Some allege that it was Mick J himself who supervised the remix, but I can't verify this.

Thank you very much for this very interesting information. On which radio station the rebroadcast of the '73 tapes took place?

I would love to see that Gimme Shelter up again. I use to have that "tape" when I was a teenager but haven't heard it in years. Lord only knows where the tape is. These recordings bring back great memories. Thanks
