Does anyone on this board own the Promotional Album. I've heard about about a guy in France who had paid some ten thousand Euro for it ...

Then he is an idiot. There is more than one version of this album. Mine (English version) was about 200 Euro, (back in 1990). It does NOT contain an early version of Love in vain as was roumered at the time).

200 Euros is a bargain. I've seen it a couple of times on Ebay go away for around 1000 Euros.

On "Promotional Album" are songs from 1964 /e.g. Confessin' The Blues) to 1968 (e.g. Prodigal Son). It was meant to be delivered tp radio stations to give an overview about the first five years (of recording) of the Stones' music.
But it hardly arrived there and got precious in those days.
