I just love my Junior and my Studio with P90:s, can´t beat the sound they produce.
Had both of them with me during the indoors Ullevi gig on saturday, ended up playing the whole gig with the Studio with twin P90:s, it gave me so much soundwise, I could´nt be bothered switching guitars, as I was supposed to >grinning smiley<.

The sunburst double cut Junior can be seen in the promo clip for Respectable

that's a Melody Maker, actually, not a Junior - see this thread: [www.iorr.org]

I have a '57 gold TV. These are awesome guitars. I am tempted to put the replacement bridge on it that looks like the original but has the adjustment for the G string. I absolutely love playing this guitar.

Is Keith´s "Dice" body made of Maple or Mahogany?
And the fretboard of Rosewood?

... Juniors are mahogany by definition, aren't they?

edit: okay no i see (here: [home.provide.net] ) that there was a maple-body phase in 54/55.
but Dice is a 58 model, so until further notice it must be mahogany.

Fall last year I was offered this 1959 Gibson Les Paul TV Model.
This was one of Rich Robinson's main recording and gigging guitars.
e.g. it was used when The Black Crowes toured with Jimmy Page in
the 90s.
(From a collector's view some minor issues like changed control knobs)

O.K. why I do dare to post it here in this thread is that the original
backplate has scratched 'K RICHARDS' into the back. Rich himself was unaware
of that. I don't want to state here that this guitar really once was owned by Keith.
No evidence for this but still very interesting.
Just my 2 cts.

Pics are from the sellers email I got.

Check out how incredibly new this guitar looks. Check out the tuning key buttons! If this wasn't Keith Richards I would have bet my money it is a new Custom shop model....

being Keith Richards, I'd still bet it's a CS, and not an original. So little wear on a guitar with such thin a layer of paint originally? Not likely

I'm posting this because I figure it may be of interest to some here: it's a Fretted Americana - yes I know, started a thread about them already - demonstartion of a CREAM 1961 Les Paul Junior. As usual, it's a great video and not a guitar I suspect many here are even aware of - I wasn't

Only 3/4 scale models where made of maple, not the full scale model, which indeed is mahogany by definition.

Cool - on the 2015 Zip Code Tour, Keith's using a 5string open-G sunburst Junior:

Thanks jjflash30 for uploading the show to youtube. Has anyone gotten a close enough look at it
to ascertain whether it's the same sunburst Junior we know and love from 94/95?

I have a Jr. They are very easy to play as alot of Gibson's are. I don't find them very versatile. I would prefer Keith play something else on some songs like Gimme Shelter. His live Jr. sound on Out of Control is rediculously good, the thing just howls.

I'm fresh off a weekend of camping in Indy, highlighted by the best show I've seen since 1999. Result is, I'm infatuated with Keith's Les Paul Jr (Jr's?). Does he play more than one, and if so, what are their pickup configurations?

Here's the relevant part of the Ratbag Boogie gear index. The main ones he plays (Dice, the doublecut used on Rambler and Out Of Control, and the possibly nameless singlecut used on Bitch and Satisfaction, inter alia) are in the OP. The tobacco sunburst singlecut that he's been playing on CYHMK during this tour may be the one pictured towards the bottom of the page, or it may be a new one.
