The last harmonies?

I really miss the ragged harmonies of the Stones greatest recordings. One voice is great, but two, three really lift a melody, the energy, and the whole song.

Why did they (M, K, D.Was?) decide in the last decade or so that harmonies weren't necessary?

Sing it together, men
Mick - double, triple track it
Mick - do your best howlin' Keef impression

What was the last great harmony on a Stones album?

I think it must be Plundered My Soul.

A lot of great harmony vocals on B2B, arranged in part or whole by Bernard.

I think the absence of harmonies, beginning with the Licks bonus tracks, stems from the fact that they’re always in a damn hurry to record.

To record...but not to release, it seems.

Plundered was all Mick.

Do you mean with Keith - plus whoever?

I dunno. There are some great harmonies on SOME GIRLS through UNDERCOVER, after that it's a wash out. Keith and Mick on The Worst. Would have to listen again to the post SG albums to come up with something. I guess it's something that doesn't stick out.

Harmonies? Is that what you call it? Sounds like Keith just singing along in the sane pitch Or trying to sing along

Sweethearts Together and the bridge of New Faces were the last standouts for me.

It was Mick doing his best Keith impression

There have been a few:

- one more shot
- biggest mistake
- let me down Sloan
- it won’t take long
- this place is empty

Not sure if any others on ABB - I would need to listen again
