Keep in mind that Brian was not in the band anymore when he died. So he had not anything to do with the band at that time anymore. Also he was a bit of a saddist and not necessarily one of the nicest people, at least that's what Keith wrote in 'Life', I didn't know him personally. But I guess they have quite mixed emotions about Brian. And apart from that, 50 years is also just a number. I'm sure Keith does not care about such things. And the other probably don't too.

What is that silly man doing with that saxophone on Brown Sugar.
Yeah some real liberties taken with that solo. Not gonna start a bash thread or anything but that solo is one that doesn’t need any extra stuff sprinkled (or blasted) all over it. Didn’t Bobby say that in an interview somewhere?

That's a really one-sided and simplified view of the whole thing...Quote

Correct! The glimmers screwed Brian and then they screwed Mick Taylor out of royalties.

Both Mick and Keith mentioned the tanks.
Yeah,so remember that gig you did in China and had to delete some of your songs from the set? Remember that guys?
You don’t have to do that here, you know why mthrfckrs? Because of those guys in the tanks.
Sorry the hardware bothered you, maybe you think your freedom to do and say what you want, dress in shiny clothes and make millions is protected by your fairy godmother.but here’s a fun fact, turns out it is won or lost at the end of the barrel of a gun.
Happy 4th everyone...
Are you acquainted with Dwight D Eisenhower's perspective on the nature of the celebration of Independence Day ?

The least I'd like from each show is, play at least one song I've not seen. Did it the 14 times since 1989. 2015 just got one Shine a Light. I thought I wouldn't get one for this tour. But again they refuse to disappoint and played mercy mercy and Mick called out my home town Norfolk Va. For the first time I've ever heard that. Norfolk is in VA and 4 hrs away. Mick Jagger is the ultimate and first influence of the front man in rock and roll. I defy to line them ALl up and say Mick is not the best front and will not be beaten years after hes gone. Ok. I may be a little excited but seriously if you were there you cant help but feel it go thru you.
I'd like to thank BV for everything and more for this site. And thanks to the members. I've learned invaluable info over the last decade and help from this incredibly diverse community that the love of The Stones bring all together.
Thank you
Hopefully, I've seen enough people claiming these things.Quote

Yes Karl kills Brown Sugar here, he should keep to the script, you cant improve on perfection, Brown Sugar is powerful and exiting and Bobby took the song to an even higher level, Keith really needs to have a word with him because ( the ego of the man ) to try to turn Bobby's solo's into something else isn't working.

Agree. I think Karl does a great Job on bringing some variation to the solo. You still hear the original phrasing through but he combines it with his own interesting licksQuote

I don't get this need to hear the exact same solo every night. We've already heard Bobby Keys solo thousands of times so you can't go wrong with some improvisation. Anything to bring some variation to these played to death songs. It would be fun to hear Ronnie play a solo as well on Brown Sugar.

Yup.
It's supposedly living and breathing music, not a note for note recital.
