DP, I had posted the lyrics to "Personality Crisis" by the New York Dolls in this thread.
It seems stupid now but at the time after reading the projections
about the personalities and legendary disputes and all that, I thought
dropping (what I think are actually very astute) NY Dolls lyric was a sorta
sly commentary on what The Dolls were observing, and 'camping up' about,
in terms of their 'commentary,' and certainly their very early take
on taking Glam to whacked extremes in outfits like Mott The Hoople
and some others would do. Let's remember this is '72
and PUNK, per se was yet to slam home widely. I'm not sure if
The Ramones debut was before or after this;
but the Dolls are def an excellent outrageous take
on Mick with the talented David Johansen just really going full out for it.
I was a fan of his first solo album also; self titled I think. eponymous.
The song "Girls" used to be a 'go to' blast off point for me for a bit
back in those days more toward
the mid and into the latter 70's when Punk was Huge,
and David had moved on.

For me, they are very important , very
important band with exactly one good song from one kinda interesting LP.
The aptly titled followup, Too Much Too Soon, proved it's title with
a whacked kinda disconnected project in comparison to Personality Crisis.
(a friend of a friend of a friend) lyric now seems prescient as common
Facebook robot language; and the cultural phenomenon of people essentially
being their own promotion and tv channel even if your 12 years old, it seems.
to this old guy anyway.
For me Johnny Thunders (one of the Dolls guitarists) solo studio cut
"Born To Lose" is very much a quality reliable of rush.

No amount of healthy living can reverse the aging process that much!
Not an expert on botox (or any form of artificial enhancement), but something's definitely going on.
As long as he's happy though is all that really matters.

In my opinion the Rolling Stones are the greatest rock band of all time
It’s my opinion so I can’t be wrong
I can’t wait to see them again tomorrow night in Foxboro. It’s going to be awesome!
I find it odd so many people post here complaining about this or that, the set lists, which era of the band was the best, etc
And the political comments and zingers are a bummer to read, dude
This is a fan appreciation page for the Stones. If you’re whining and complaining about something, do you think the band is going to do something about it?

I don't think they're botoxed up. The make up under those lights makes a huge difference.
It's the hair that is giving them all a slightly fabricated look. Jagger's face on it's own is all of 76. His hair does look kind of youthful; same with Ronnie. And Keith. Also keep in mind that Ron and Keith have stopped drinking.
Charlie doesn't get mentioned in these type threads because he is the only one with white hair. If the other 3 didn't dye their hair they would look a good bit different. Although Ron goes out of his way to say he has never dyed it.
