I was fooling around with Four Flicks trying to burn the audio tracks onto a compact disc with no luck. Anyone tried this? Can it be done? Thanks.

I have a Sony CD Recorder home stereo unit and I can burn any source of music that runs through my receiver. DVD, VHS, LP, cassette, CD, etc.

Not sure how to do it via the computer, though.

I have tried. The DVD's are digitally protected. The only way I converted was to tape the DVD's on to a 4 track recorder, then spit them back into the computer via MusicMatch.

I use dvd audio ripper with any DvD running in the background.
I can rip authorised dvds if I want to ,for personal use ,but I don't you understand ,as they are copy protected .

I have CD's of all the Four Flicks DVD's...a friend of mine made them with a standalone CD run through his DVD player...the sound is perfect!

To echo what Per-Anton says, Audio Hijack or Audio Hijack Pro does this very well on Apple computers.

Now that I recall, I did have a problem ripping the sound from Four Flicks. It had to do with the "behind the scenes" special features option. It would skip badly everywhere the "behind the scenes" feature kicked in.

I was able to get around it by making copies of the DVDs with a program called "I Copy DVDs Too" (which copies protected DVDs beautifully when you download a plug-in that the program recommends), using the "copy the main feature only" option. I got excellent audio rips (using ImToo DVD Audio Ripper) from the copied DVDs that far surpassed anything that I had previously downloaded.

Good Luck!

Download "Wiretap" from the net. The best tapping-program I've seen for free. I use it all the time.
