@Rockman, this was excellent! Thanks for posting.
I'd be interested to hear your top 10 or 20 (or more) bands/artists, regardless of genre, as I'm always hunting for "new" good music. Do you recommend any Indie/Garage rock bands? How do you like the music I posted? feedback welcome.
I'm always: 1. extremely selective about my music
2. especially if it's not '62-'84 Classic Rock, Prog Rock/Classic Hard rock/Psychedelic Rock, Motown/Classical/Reggae/ etc. Muse/Nirvana/Cake/Phantom Planet/SRV made it, but very few other bands after ~early '80's do.
3. especially if it's going in my library
4. I love the distortion effect in the vocals, lead singer has a good voice, reminds me of Nina Persson (The Cardigans), very catchy tunes/lyrics, interesting effects, well produced.
I rarely find (post early '80's) aka "new/newer" bands appealing & certainly not more than 1 song if at all, so this was a good find. I've listened to a few of their songs tonight & every one is good/very good. Their music reminds me of a mix b/w: early Beatles/late era Beatles, 60's/70's era Kinks &....
