@jbwelda

In 1981, my brother went to Reggae Sunsplash at Jarrett Park, Montego Bay with Roger Steffens (who he worked with) along with several other friends of his. I think the Eeka Mouse video you posted above is from '81. Anyhow, I recall him telling me he lost his wallet during one of the days, but someone had found it and turned it in. He was called up to the stage to retrieve it and everything was still in it! And somewhere in storage, I have a picture of him and the English Beat's Ranking Roger at their hotel room with a giant pile of weed in front of them haha. As for me, I attended a touring stateside version of Sunsplash at the Greek Theater in L.A., '85 (or maybe '86?), and recall there was a fire up in the hills behind the ampitheater so they had to abruptly stop it and continued the following day. Still have the t-shirt (along with dozens of others) in storage, so will dig it out to find the correct year

Time to revisit this in memory of my bro....

That's always a good one MisterDDDD - Janis was incredible. Mama Cass looking on mesmerized, and ultimately blown away.

Reminds me of this video of Satisfaction '69 with Janis in attendance and getting her groove on....smiling smiley

Watching Mama Cass is almost as entertaining as watching Janis winking smiley.. great footage.
Love watching Janis rock out to satisfaction.. seems to be blown away by Mick's moves... Love it!!

My own best of U2.

Here's my own best of U2 - it consists of just one song!

Still have the 12" single I bought back in the day!

Truthfully there's a couple of tunes I like from that album, and quite a few I like from their first three albums.
Aside from that, some sporadic tunes throughout their entire catalogue, but would be hard pressed to make a "greatest" compilation out of those.

I could make a Best of by U2 from their mid era. And yes. "God's Country" is a great tune. The guitar solo. What I really like about that song is the bass line. It is not what one would expect.

Me listening lately:

"Manipulator" - Ty Segall
"All Mirrors" - Angel Olsen
"There is no year" - Algiers
"High Priestess of Soul" - Nina Simone
"Go tell Fire to the Mountain" - WULYF
"Red" - Taylor Swift
"Tenderness" - Duff McKagan
"Devour You" - Starcrawler
"They Threw us all in a rrench.." - Liars
"Somebody's Knocking" - mark Lanegan
"Music to be Murdered By" - Eminem
"warm Leatherette" - Grace Jones
"Complete Duets" - Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell
"Survival" - Grand Funk Railroad
"Live Archive" - Lou Reed
"It's Real" - Ex Hex
"Ice Pickin" - Albert Collins

Sorry for long list, but I love these kinds of lists.
