I know a lot of you will dissegree, but I really like this song, that intro is soo magic, has anyone of you figured this out? its one of the best intros I think. The singing of mick and keith is super great, great weird lyrics, keith gives a heavy bass line, nice simple sax, good mix... what do you think? wauw listen to that groove part on the end!!!(I do right now)
Its just one of those semi-forgotten gams at Exile. Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooool boogiegroove. Like a theme song for the whole Exile imho. Sweaty, cool, Nellcôte-ish; slightly druggy... Just Ex(ile)cellent!

thanks, I am getting quite close but can't get that very first chord, thats the open one but he slides in a certein way, but that's just part of the magic I guess..It's keith I think,on the basic gitar part.
Features my alltime favorite Keith BU vox!@!! That high voice that is just drawling along on top of Jagger. "...left show shuffle right shoe muffle..."or "...Dietrich movies close-0up boogies...". The words are some of the best on the album. But then every song on the record is among the best on the record. That sax solo is superb. The magic of ONE NOTE! LOL And towards the end when Chjarlie kicks it into another higher gear. Oh I love that.

In the transcription by Jack Morer the first two bars looks like this, in Open G and capoed at 2nd fret as Mathijs said (I left out 6th string since Keith doesn't use one):
|-s5------X-------3--------------|--0---0---0--------5---5---5------| |--0------X-------3---3---3---0--|-s3---3---1--0-----0---0---0------| |--0------X---0---0---0---0---0--|-s4---4---2--0-----0---0---0------| |---------X---0---------------0--|----------------0--0---0---0---0--| |--------------------------------|----------------------------------| ........................................... ^^^^^^^ ........................................... a triplet
PS: You gotta display this tab in a monotype face. The triplet consists of notes 3, 4 and 5 of the second bar.

Casino Boogie is one of the highlights of Exile. As pointed out above, nothing, NOTHING is less than fantastic. The intro, the groove, the solo, the back up voc. I would add the lyrics, but I never understand a word of what J sings on Exile.
Isn't this the one where they experimented with the Burroughs cut-up lyrics technique, but with a Keith spin, shooting a gun at pages taped up on a roof somewhere & using whatever was hit. I never worked out how they could read words that were blasted away unless it was just a pellet gun...
I am longing for those kind of mixes: Every time you listen to it you discover something you never heard before. There is so much to hear on Exile, it's unique, incredible, superb, one of a kind! And yes, Jagger was down in the mix but that doesn't bother me (he was more screaming when rocking, than really singing :-) ), cause I love to hear those guitars, drums, bass etc! Nowadays Mick is really singing (great in my opinion) so he deserves to be heard in front of the band!
Casino Boogie has a great intro indeed. I love it a lot! Great groove, guitarwork etc. Hell of a song :-).
