I think that the studio version of she's so cold is really verry good, oa sound wise, how they play, its so open, subtile.that piece towards the end where they mix away keiths git for a while and right at the perfect moment it comes back.
this is a highlight of the glimmer twins. who agrees???(maybe take a good listen before you react)

I agree. An underrated highlight in their career. It's so laid back. Drumming is great. Singing really rocks. Ronnie really nails the lead guitar! Great bass playing by Bill. Love it!

Goes for the whole album, actually. Great album.

why is she so cold in 1980 and hot in 1983?? Just like a woman-can't make up her mind!

It's not the same women, man. In 1983, it's Mick's 50th next woman after that one in 1980 :-)

another Stones classic which cannot be played live. The studio version is superb, not only the guitars but Mick's voice is fantastic!

Yeah, it's the laid-back quality that does it for me, and I agree the whole album's that way. Really nice playing with nothing to prove, as 40-year-olds should be! Too bad they lost that mood... still, I don't really see the point in how they're playing it now.

Guitar sound, dynamics, using of silence as a tool in music...
Brilliant, written by geniuses, played by geniuses.
The Victory of Feelin in contract to technique.
Cocky in a punkish way.
Grrreat!!

Anybody notice how the Honky Tonk Women beat pretty much pervades everything the Stones do? It's right there in She's So Cold.

And the tamborine beat from Satisfaction? Those three beats. They're everywhere. Play those two little rhtyhms in any Stones song (or anyh good song, for that matter)... fits right in.

I love the Stones!

I hope they don't play it in Anaheim. I will have to try to explain to my daughter why they would play such a crappy song...

Hey, bigband, to each his own...
...But enter rs.com (www.rollingstones.com) and
click yourself intio "Virtual Ticket", go to the time-line,
and watch (at 1980) the promo video to She´s So Cold...

Agree 100% with the high rating, for every aspects mentionned.
MJ's singing in the spoken, suggestive, cynical part - "when you're o-o-old, when you're o-o-old, nobody will kno-o-o-w..." - is pure RS genius!!

I like it when the boys show a sense of humor - a la "She's So Cold".

It's not mens business if she's hot or cold because "She's the boss" (Mick Jagger 1985).

She's So Cold is one of the most under rated songs they've ever done. What a great tune! I'm thrilled they're playing it on this tour, I was starting to think I'd never get to see them do it live.

Its a shit garage song should never be played. You will never convince me otherwise.

Then try not playing it in your garage.

It's one of the classiest songs they've ever put down; where the subtle restraint of the guitars is more effective than any amount of loud garage thrashing.

This is in my top ten. I could write a thesis on this song! But I'll spare you....and give it a spin instead.

I don't want anyone here not to like me... but I have to agree with this assessment.

It's my favorite song on Emotional Rescue.
And it's a joy to play on guitar. It has a very simple but fantastic riff. It's a pleasure to play this riff and just jam.
