The problem with most "guests" is that some folks will think they're great whilst others think they're rubbish.

Hard to win really . Maybe they should just stay in the wings and watch grinning smiley

I think like the UK, the guest spots will be determined by how "big" the opening act is. Some will undoubtably be more known than others, and they will come out after opening to join the band for a song. I usually enjoy a guest joining in, love to watch the interaction with the band.

Would be great for Seattle to have Eddie Vedder join them for one.
The chances of PJ opening is remote.. but I wouldn't rule out him opening solo.

Guests have really dropped off over the years. Gary Clark Jr is fine but Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran-pass.

I recommend Chrissie Hynde and Pretenders whoever the band is now.

I was really angry when Taylor Swift guested at the show I saw in 2013, but they did As Tears Go By and it was pretty great (despite Taylor giving Chicago a shout out right when Keith was starting his solo eye rolling smiley )

God I hope not, the only guests I've enjoyed and haven't been cringing over was John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr.

I've actually had a nightmare once that Dave Matthews also ruined my wedding by singing duet on wild horses - that was our song for our wedding dance song :-)

The only guest I'd be excited for would be Buddy Guy. Or wayyyy out of left field, Bobby Weir to join on NFA but that's definitely not an option.

I vote for Pretenders, Chili Peppers, and Toots, and hope people like Jack Johnson, Donovan Frankenreiter, and Ed Sheeran are nowhere to be seen.

I'd rather have a guest for one tune than most any of the opening acts these days.
Some guests are better than others, of course.

How many 80 plus year old Blues artists are still around? OK, Buddy Guy in Chicago, I'm sure there are a few more...

Oh well it would be nice if Keith got to choose a few then. Maybe Keith's a bit more hip than we give him credit for.
Norah Jones comes to mind, i believe Keith likes Ed Sheeran who Mick invited along a while ago, Keith has expressed that he likes Oasis, maybe either Brother could guest, Robert Cray, Clapton, Townshend, yes Buddy Guy, Sheryl Crow is a big fav of all the band, i think Keith probably has a host of people on his list that would surprise us, don't think Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift are on his list though winking smiley
