Yikes, I bet a lot of folks were flying in Friday. That really sucks.

Did they ever do that before? That's a whole other sort of inconvenience. Imagine someone who didn't check on it arriving there and being told "Yeah, that already happened"

If someone doesn’t know about the looming hurricane when going to Miami, it really isn’t the Stones fault. No doubt the airlines are sending emails to passengers as well.

Ticketmaster could email all ticket buyers ASAP...

Of most importance of all---will the event shirts and litho have the new date? I'm sure not, rendering them all collector's items, or worthless, depending on your perspective. Just like all the tour shirts which will have the wrong date on them. How will I go on?

I am just relaxing here in Naples. It's a two hour drive to Miami across the everglades.

There is no concern here about the storm. I just went to a mall with Home Depot and Walmart things seem normal no hoarding of water or generators and such. Publix still has water, bread, milk and the shelves are still pretty full.

The Ritz Carlton here has two top floors closed off for "special guests" but they wouldn't tell me much about who they are. Not many "guests" get the entire floor much less two of them.

In 1989 The Stones stayed here and rehearsed Terrifying and Almost Hear You Sigh in one of the convention rooms.

Oh yeah. I flew into Phoenix the day of the show and flew out the next day. If they had moved it up a day, I would have had to pay a lot to change my ticket, assuming I didn't have a major conflict the day before.

I get it that it's safer to have the show on Friday, but one day's notice is certainly going to impact quite a few people.

On the other hand, if I was lucky enough to have a ticket to what might be the last big scale Rolling Stones show in the U.S., I'd do whatever it took to make it.

Wow that is such a bummer - hate to say it but glad I didn't plan to try to make it to this one. Really feel bad for the no doubt hundreds if not thousands of fans who won't be able to make this show now.

And the hundreds if not thousands of dollars we have spent and lost adjusting to the situations.

Very irresponsible, on the Stones' part - or of the NFL people they outsource this to. Miami should have remained one of the first gigs. Hurricane season? C'mon!

I had no flight booked yet and did a lot of the tour this way.
It really paid off this time, because I almost booked a friday afternoon flight that would have cut it too close.

At this moment I'm sitting in the Miami airport Avianca lounge having got a last minute flight from Toronto.

If the show actually happens tomorrow, I will have only missed NOLA and Jacksonville shows

Hoping for an extra special finale for those of you braving the elements and juggling the logistics for this one!!

Pre and Post party is still happening at the Calder Casino right next to the venue. 3 PM Center Bar, I hope most people can still make it!

I give the Stones credit for not canceling altogether, at least they are still putting on a show which shows they are as dedicated to us as we are to them. I love them so I'm gonna be there. It is thundering and lightening here in South FL right now and expected to rain for the next 5 days. DAMMIT!

Anyone staying in south beach that would like to share an uber?

The 11pm track really sucks. Now they think it's heading closer to South Florida than previously thought. Closer to Palm Beach area.

About to get on the red eye to Miami - out Saturday evening - Gimme Shelter!

That's a great decicion for the 1.000's of people who would fly in on Saturday. 1.000's empty seats, chaotic szenes. The promotors will loose much money. Okay, better than no show.

Does anyone know when the stadium parking lots open? I was told 4pm - but had
the feeling this was a guess. Are there other options in the area for earlier parking? Thanks!

[RollingStones.com] has now updated the new date Fri, 30-Aug-2019 and added a News-entry:



"Due to the weather forecast, the Rolling Stones show scheduled for Saturday, August 31 at the Hard Rock Stadium has been moved to tomorrow night, Friday, August 30.

All tickets will be honored for the new date. There will be no opening act - doors will open at 6:00PM ET, and the Stones will go on at 8:30PM ET.

Ticket holders will be receiving an email from Ticketmaster with more information. We apologise for any disappointment and inconvenience caused by moving this date."

Actually Nate, it's quite appropriate. The Stones are in town so,
just check out one of Oscar Wilde's most famous works: The Picture of DORIAN Gray.
You read a lot of Stones symbolism into the story.
