I was told there is a tram service available to and from the venue. It would be great if that is true. If not, it sounds as if it's close enough to walk.
I am staying there also. They told me they partner with a shuttle company for all Stadium events. It’s $15 per person round trip.

Thanks keefmick for explaining what the area around the stadium is like. Good idea to meet a driver at the Stadium Hotel. Once I figure out my plan, I will post it so that it may possibly help out others, too. Thanks again!

I used to be in that stadium a lot for their football (American, yeah) team. Be aware, the stadium parklot is ok, but surrounding area can get mean. Once you leave the event, or before, don't stop anywhere around the stadium - go to your safe haven to relax.

If you are physically able, walking the 20 minutes to the Stadium Hotel will be much easier than taking a tram, certainly after the show. After the show the traffic will be insane, even going the short distance to the hotel and there will be plenty of people walking in that direction, either to the hotel or to their car as there is a lot of parking in that direction. Just be prepared as the Stadium Hotel is not an upscale hotel by any means. View it as a place to sleep close to the stadium.
Going to the stadium in the afternoon is an excellent idea if you like to merch shop without the crowds as I do. On the last US tour the Stones had a merch truck outside the venue open by early afternoon which provided no wait shopping.

I met with the manager of SHENANIGANS PUB in Hollywood, FL and he welcomes us super incredible Stones fans. There is a digital jukebox when you walk in with 43 RS albums so if everyone puts $5.00 for 12 songs in the jukebox we can have continuous Stones playing. The place is big enough, plenty of free parking, excellent, reasonably priced pub food, close to the Fort Lauderdale airport and the Hollywood Hard Rock hotel, and open till 4 AM. We can basically meet up there all weekend. Pre and Post Party on show day. Doug posted it on Shidoobee but I want to include my IORR friends too. Many of us post on both sites anyway. Who is coming to Miami from Europe?

But they have a quite a catalog of songs that mean much more to me today then yester-year. Even Elvis moves me now- What a band he had backing him up- yeah 106.9 Scott Shannon and theh oldies....and John Tesh with silly Life tips!!! Crap- even heard MLH on the channel - talking Stuart WPB area

Big disappointment. MICK will need time to recover. I guess everyone cancelled their travel plans for Miami. I was looking forward to the opening night. Worried about MICK now. Damn this is tough for a lot of people.

Is anyone still coming to Miami anyway? If so I am meeting RS friends on Friday night at the Village Pump at 6 - 6:30, Lauderdale by the Sea. Commercial Blvd & the Atlantic ocean. Wear a RS shirt so we can find each other. Live band starts at 7. Anyone in?
