So sorry to hear about Frosty. Dogs are God’s gift to so many of us. Last night I had a vivid dream that my little Mo died. I was so distraught and in the dream I was trying to revive him. But then, he was trying to tell me that it was his time to go. When I awoke, there he was, curled up next to me on top of the covers. When he does go it will be tough but I will be grateful for his companionship and the joy he brings me.

Been there. I'll never be the same. A little consolation is that you gave him/her the best life any dog could have while he/she was here. I've concluded that God takes our beloved pets home so soon to steel us and prepare us for the loss of our human loved ones. It's been 3 years for me and it gets easier for me every year but I, like you, will never forget him. We will meet again in the next plane of existence.
PS Personally I'm not gathering any more pets ( I still have 6 ) I can't deal with the pain of loss any more. I've rescued more than my fair share. I'm too old.

So sad to hear it. We've had our first dog for only three years now, and she almost surrendered to a kidney infection over the summer. It made me dread the day she won't be in our house any longer.

Aww, I'm sorry, babyblue. I know how tough that is, but I'm glad you had 13 years together. Just remember that you were that dog's world, you made it a happy one, and that it would have been even worse for her to lose you. Till you meet again!

one of the saddest aspects of life is that We outlive too many dogs.
I can still feel a tear in my eye thinking of any dog I've loved & lost down the years.
