How many times Kiss said bye already? I believe in 2001 and 2012. Today announced almost 90 dates around the world. WIth NYC last show of their End Of The Road World Tour next July 17th of 2021.

Yeah, this is all the same tour. They're doing the Elton John approach of making it last 7 years. They did saw goodbye in 2000 and then were like "actually, never mind. There's more money to be had." I do think, legitimately, and I say this as a fan, they're the only ones that outright had a farewell tour and then just kept going as if nothing happened. Most bands imply it but KISS always likes to double down. This new tour is just a reason to be on the road as long as they want and have "the end" be a gimmick. In fairness to them, it really is a reason to celebrate getting this piece of shit lineup off the road finally.

Actually, I'm wrong. Ozzy Osbourne did a farewell in 1992 and is having his second one now literally named the same tour just with a 2 after it. You can't make this stuff up sometimes.

I started a post about this about a year ago! They started the farewell tour in Vancouver on Feb 1. One of the best concerts I've seen! It was scheduled to be a 3 year tour.
Since last year I've seen Paul Simon, KISS, Bob Seger and Elton John on their "farewell" tours! Remember that The Who did their farewell tour in 1982 and I just saw them 2 weeks ago! Cher did her 3 year farewell tour in the mid 2000s and is still touring.

I am probably stating the obvious, but I am not sure... this is a joke, right? With KISS any absurdity is possiblle, but the "Airbnb promotion" and the "proceeds will go to charity" (8 tickets x 50$ = 400$ in total) sort of make it clear that it is not meant seriously. But as we are talking KISS, I am not 100% sure... ?

It's real. I'm a a KISS fan and have followed this story.
