Yes, I believe Brian did visit (and help) at the Crich Steam Railway Museum. Its about 5 miles from where I live (Derbyshire).
Brian, certainly not your stereotypical train spotter.

They also traveled by train to their last stop of their 2013 American tour. From Philadelphia to Washington DC.
