We've heard these songs dozens of times already. It's stale. Add a three song B-stage acoustic set or something. Mix up the back end. It's so predictable that it is becoming borderline boring.
The B-stage used to be so damn great! A shame they don't do that anymore, and wonder why they stopped using it?.
One of the single most exciting moments I've ever had at a Stones show was being on the rail of the B-stage and seeing them play Midnight Rambler with Keith being five feet in front of me.
And I didn't pay a penny as it was at the free NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) concert at Staples Center in 2003.

This is what I don't get on this forum. People bashing shows they have not been to based on selected youtube videos.
There were a few empty seats in the stands, and the pitch was packed. So what? Last night was a great, great show. The band was tight and solid as a rock. Not many surprises in the set list, but they performed the regular songs with passion. All of them (Mick, Keith, Ron, Charlie) seemed to be in great shape and giving 100 %. The groove on Gimme Shelter was epic. The crowd was fantastic. I have never seen the crowd so enthusiastic during a warm up set before; people were dancing all over the place. The mood and atmosphere was good throughout the show.
PS: What do you mean the tempo was sloooooow? Buy a BPM counter and compare Coventry with shows from 20 years ago and you'll be surprised.

Scroll through to 1.15 on this video halfway through midnight rambler. Watch Keith entice Mick into singing a phrase from come on into my kitchen. Then look at the smile on Keith's face. That is a magic moment.
I'll base my armchair judgement on CL audience recording to say that imho it was a bloody good show, the 1st scorcher of the tour! Keef was on!

It's kind of odd, but in many recent pics Ronnie looks like he's been airbrushed or polished - very smooth.

And for cherrypicker CR who found it. Again.
Three Points:
1. It looks, sounds and feels like a great show.
2. After all this years a IORR-rule comes through more and more:
The hard, negative, moaning, setlist-whining super-critics here to 95% always
judge from their sofas through utube clips, Facebook or Persicope streams.
95% weren´t their at the venue.
People who were there with their body and mind are 95% positive.
3. Especially two members here are mega-negative with everything to every
issue. Which is there total right! But my right it´s to scroll over them as
soon I read their names.

Just watched this show. I think this group could go far!
Gave our tickets to our boys to attend last night, still waiting for them to return and give the low down on the gig. All we have recieved so far was a two word text after the show 'Simply Amazing' ..guessing they liked it.

Reflecting back and watching SFM on youtube, it will be a concert to remember.
The crowd was very good and playing wise the stones were excellent.
Can't wait for Edinburgh and Cardiff now.
Ricoh stadium was very professional and even the merchandise and bars was well done.
All my family and friends loved it and can't believe jagger has so much energy.
So pleased they played dead flowers, but would have loved heart breaker.
We got in the arena quite early and I went down to the pitch on my own and went to the side to take it all in, that the stones were coming back to the Midlands and I just admit I had a few tears in my eye.

It probably explains why so many of the Lucky Dippers got stuck with seats. But this was a show added to the tour later and given the ticket prices it is not surprising it didn't sell out. It looks from the videos like the boys were on fire last night and people got there moneys worth regardless of where they were. Gives me some hope for Tuesday when I get my chance to see this tour. I hope it will be as loud as everyone says this show was.
