I wonder how it will shake out. Will they all do different sets?

Thanks for the heads up.

I see a date for "Los Angeles" scheduled at the new Five Point Amphitheatre, but that's actually located down in Irvine, Orange County (not Los Angeles),
which is about 20 miles south of Anaheim, which is about 20 miles south of Los Angeles!

Hope they play somewhere that's actually in Los Angeles!

The Wilson sisters broke up over the doggies getting let outta the trailer.
I’m sorry, I still find that funny.
ETA: it’s not funny they had bad family blood and it affected their careers, I respect.

I don't know, he's been around etc. but to me Paul Rodgers is the most boring singer.

Paul Rodgers is one of my alltime favourite singers. Saw him live in the seventies with Bad Company and several times as a solo Artist in the nineties.
Jeff Beck is aone of my alltime favourite guitar players.
And I think they will harmonize very well doing stuff from Free, Bad Co, the Jeff Beck Group, ......
And I can imagine Ann Wilson will fit in, too. Verry interesting package!

The usual bands in the usual barns. So far this summer is shaping up to be nothing special.

Everyone of these acts traipses around the US amphitheater circuit every summer in some manner, shape or form playing the same hit parade. The only thing that changes is who gets paired up with whom.

If they schedule something in NYC, I'm there. Saw Jeff and Buddy Guy at MSG Theater. Perfect venue. Curious as to Jeff's band lineup.

Worthy of consideration, but still pretty far down the list of shows I'm thinking of going to this year.

Plus the thought of a possible collaboration of Jeff Beck with Paul Rodgers on vocals is fantastic!
One of the greatest guitar players in rock and roll (second only to Hendrix imo) teamed up with one of the greatest voices in rock and roll (by most anyone's standards) - this is not your usual situation by any defnition!
Don't know where Ann Wilson fits in with all this, but no doubt she's one of the greatest female vocalists ever. Just listen to Crazy On You and tell me it doesn't send shivers!
Or if that doesn't do it for you, maybe watch her belt out Stairway to Heaven at the White House while Jimmy page and John Paul Jones nod in approval and Robert Plant is brought to tears...

Heart -Stairway to Heaven -2012 Kennedy Center Honors

Is this going to be just "the usual" show that traipses around the US amphitheater circuit every summer? I think not!

It's a great pairing. I couldn't care less about Wilson. But Jeff is my fav. And Paul Rodgers is a great voice, and did a great song or two with Jeff on the Muddy Waters album. I remember reading how badly Ritchie Blackmore wanted Rodgers. I can see why. But that Queen collaboration... eye popping smiley

I hope bootlegers are warming up for this! I wanna hear some nice recordings of this tour.

Ann's husband assaulted Nancy's young son over the incident. He was arrested, charged and sentenced. What do you find funny about a 66 year old man punching a little kid?

Yeah I thought there was more to the story than just "doggies getting let outta the trailer".
Not a fan of the band per se. but kind of a sad ending of the sisterly love and the band they created together.
On a local classic rock radio station, they recently played a 'flashback' snippet of an older interview with one of the sisters when they were still together.
Paraphrase - "we love each other, always together as a team, always have been and always will, two of us is better than one of us". etc., etc.

Vvery expensive tix here in Boston. No go for me. I would rather see Jeff Beck by himself.

Yes expensive for Irvine as well. Orch. seats were $199 + fees, but only side sections available.
There was a VIP meet and greet with Paul Rogers $450 +fees eye popping smiley- pass on that. Another another VIP for Jeff Beck for apprx. $350 +fees including poster, laminate, etc. - pass on that.
In contrast, a few years ago at a Jeff Beck/ZZ Top co-headline show, I paid $150 (or less?) for a Jeff Beck VIP which included a 3rd row center seat, a litho, t-shirt, laminate, tote,
and to make it all really worthwhile sitting in on a 45 minute soundcheck for an intimate 'private' show with about 50 other people. Also, when he played at Chumash Casino a few years back the price was about $50 max.
And prior to that at the House of Blues about the same price for GA- made it to up front and center. Oh well...looks like this one is a no-go...

I jumped in and grabbed Jeff Beck tickets for Nashville right when they went on sale. Just for kicks I went to Ticketmaster and looked at the seats that were left.

I am not kidding I would bet 95% of the tickets are still available.

The concert is not until mid August but wow wee it sure got me down.

Do they ever cancel shows due to poor ticket sales?

I checked a few other cities and not many sold there either.

Re: OT: Jeff Beck

I grabbed tickets for Jeff Beck in June this year in Grolloo, Holland. As far as I know the festival is almost sold out by now. I cannot Imagine Jeff Beck not sold out short before his gig, be it in North-Korea or let's say Zimbabwe.

the tour isn't coming to seattle but i would go just to see jeff again. not so keen on paul rogers & ann wilson. that touring package seems a little weak. lot of competition out there for that demographic & tickets are more expensive than ever.

Beck's been touring a lot lately, maybe that's taking a bit of a toll on ticket sales...After being relegated to somewhat of a cult act in early 2000s (saw him at the Warfield in SanFran in early 2001 and it was far from full) he managed to bounce back but there's probably a limit. He played Paris in October 2016 and he's already back, at very inflated prices too, I'll take a pass this time.
