Would Mick agree to be paid in bitcoin for the next shows ?

Charlie and Ronnie would go for cash
Keith does't mind being paid in real estate..."Nothing wrong in a piece of land," the wise man said back in the days.

Bitcoin is the scam of the century. But there's plenty of money to be made by those who "short" it soon!

Why would they?

Bitcoin worth is only the worth in real money. So there is no reason why they would be willing to accept bitcoins. If they want bitcoin for investment they can buy it with their money.

You know a topic will not be "on topic" just because you add Mick or Keith to the comments...

Bitcoin is certainly off topic.

Don't spend more than you can waste or loose, but some say bitcoin will still grow in value by a factor 20 in the year or so to come.

I have personally invested! ... so far so good, I am up double in just 1 month if I decided to get out now. But I think I'll risk losing it all, & gamble that it will continue to grow. Time will tell.

It was designed to be a new form of money, but has already failed in that.
The primary purpose of money is to be a medium of exchange, but to do that, it must have a stable value, or at the very least rise or fall with the general economic climate.
It hasn't done that. It's just a speculative asset with no real value behind it and will collapse in time.

It has succeeded as a new form of money as it represents a lifeboat against all the monetary bubbles that are about to burst (again). Poeple don't invets in BT they use it to protect their wealth against the coming breakdown (or the State as they do in China). BT is the proverbial canary in the coal mine.

The USD is a medium of exchange while its intrinsic value has sunk 99% agaisnt Gold since 1914.

How is it a lifeboat if it also sinks in value, as it has done in the past few days? That was after a phenomenal increase in value, but that increase is also a sign of a bubble.

It takes a huge amount of electricity to mine for bitcoins, which are based on solving equations. You could base a currency on solving trivia questions, or just about anything. It caught on because some people wanted an easy, untraceable way to purchase illicit goods on the internet, and other people wanted a Ponzi scheme to make money with. Now that legitimate investment banks such as Goldman Sachs are involved, it will fluctuate wildly, including downwards. The involvement of major banks and exchanges makes it a part of the establishment.

Gold is not money. It is a financial asset. You can't buy anything with gold unless you convert it to dollars. And gold has no intrinsic value outside some industrial uses. Bitcoin is not a hedge against monetary bubbles -- bitcoin IS a bubble.

Everything rises & sinks. Look at the longer history to get a better idea of the trend rather than a single day.

The only coins worth collecting are the classic ones. If you're in the U.S. start with those 1790s large cents and work your way up.

Austria has a great re-strike of their 1915 Ducats -- 23 and three-quarter carats; their value only goes up by the year...

Forget Bitcoin, but blockchain technology will be a major influence in our lives in 2018 and beyond. Bitcoin was just the start and it's easy to buy, but coins like Ripple, Ethereum or IOTA actually have real-world use cases.

Not only that, but in India they have Dikshits. How would you like to go through school being known as a Dikshit?

In mathematics, they have the Cox-Zucker Machine:
