Given all of the sad and depressing news about musicians' ill- health and death in some cases, I was wondering how Eric Clapton was doing. I checked briefly online and he looked very frail in recent photos. He was in a wheelchair at the airport this spring. I gather he's suffering from peripheral neuropathy which is depressing. Wondering if he'll ever play guitar again? Has anyone heard anything?

I was almost afraid to open this thread. As noted, he just played a few shows in September...a little Googling goes a long way.

He's done about 13 concerts this year.
Also has an "Anthology" type film coming out soon.
Just watched the You Tube clip: he looks fine....and his playing likewise.
In fact, looks in a lot better shape than Keith. But of course he has taken care of himself better this last 30 or so years.

He has just been announced (today) as a headliner for British Summer Time in hyde park on the 8th of July next year. Santana, Steve Winwood and Gary Clark jr also also on the bill.

How is this a terrible topic? Just merely inquired about his health. All things being equal, considering some of the discussions and insensitive remarks on this forum, this topic is fairly benign. I could have posted his photo from LAX and stated Clapton's On Death's Door. I just asked a question that's all.

Then it would be the perfect weekend, Roger Waters, Stones and Eric.

Why? I've heard several people say that, but I can't see it myself.

He's fit and looks horrible sometimes (but not always). Maybe it's because he's so thin.

Ronnie looks fine , just a bit older as we all are getting older .

I'll try it...didn't know this was an option. Thanks for your kind words. I certainly didn't mean to offend anyone and still rather surprised that I did! I was going to inquire about Mick Taylor's health. Glad I didn't. Can't find anything recent on the web and the last I knew he was living in The Netherlands with his girlfriend. That was a couple of years ago. Oh well!

He looks pretty good now in comparison to certain times in the past when his skin had a pasty grey and yellow tint to it.

I don't really get why people think Ronnie looks unhealthy. Yes, the gaunt, narrow face looks a little off-putting, but other than that, he looks great. His eyes are so bright and happy nowadays, which is nice to see.
