Hi, I'm newish here, apologies if I have broken any etiquette rules by not posting an intro until now. I have read rules re no politics/religion/personal agendas/good manners and conclude that they are stretched a little sometimes. I have never posted on an online forum before, life gets more exciting by the minute doesn't it?
I grew up about 15 miles from Dartford, (you may have heard of it?). I have never been to the train station, but in recent years been to the town several times. Dartford people are really friendly and I love to hear that not-quite-cockney accent that Mick pulled out for the Hyde Park concerts.
My 1st Stones concert was in 1965, which inspired my 'They didn't play Satisfaction' thread. A lifelong Stones fan, I will admit to sometimes feeling a little let down by the band, perhaps somewhat forgotten or overlooked. The couldn't fit us (UK) in the European tour 'because of sporting fixtures', which really means many of our venues are a lot smaller, = less money in the bank. So maybe next year, the end of the queue again.
I'm pleased to be able to login at last and look forward to being inspired to join your conversations

Yeah well....proper etiquette says we don't complain until the tour officially starts.Quote

... and Slipping Away being the newest song. - It's not that I don't like it anymore, but they could make it a lot more interesting if they wanted to. The 2012/13 setlists were really great and even 2015 was far more exciting than the latest "warhorses only" leg.

1. is the uk 2018 tour going to happen or is it just hearsay.
2. can i be the first to moan about the sterile setlist.

Out Of Control was the newest song, followed by YGMR.

It isn't hearsay, it is going to happen. If you're gonna moan about the setlist, why do you care?

Too late. The tour isn't for eons and we already know what they're gonna play and people have already moaned about it. Just because they know - the newest song will be from 1981 unless Keith does Slipping Away. Etc.
The recent tour name - it didn't really mean anything, did it. No Filter... of our greatest hits. Woo hoo - they played Dancing With Mr D and the odd other track here or there but... it's been the same since (enter whatever year here).
