Non-LP B-Sides, 1974-now
Date: September 15, 2005 21:56
Hey.....saw the thread about the "extra" ABB CD, containing out of print b-sides, which that may or may not happen.
I for one, think its interesting to keep Non-album B-sides obscure....it's fun to collect them!
I can't name all the Non-Album B-sides from 60s, but from 1974 on here are main ones, minus all the dance mixes. I'm sure this is all documented somewhere, but its fun to try and remember them all. There is certainly an albums worth of stuff. Feel free to fill in any gaps:
Through The Lonley Nights (1974) (Interstingly, has never appeared on any US compilation to date! Was B-Side to IORR)
I Think I'm Going Mad (January 23, 1984. B-Side to under-rated She Was Hot)
Fancy Man Blues (Aug 1989) (One of my favorite tracks....can't figure out why its wasn't on "Steel Wheels"! Probably best song to come out of those sessions! It wouldn't be out of place on ABB!)
Cook Cook Blues (Oct 1989, B-side to Rock and a Hard Place. Apparently an "Undercover" ouutake?)
The B-Side to Terryfying was non-album. Can't recall title. Don't think it was ever released in US.
"LOSTPOINT" Non-album, live "Falshpoint" bonus tracks:
Undercover of the Night (think was B-side to "Sex Drive'?). Other non-album live cuts on CD-singles. I can't recall which titles.
The Storm (July 1994) Damn good blues track! Like "Fancy Man Blues", this one is very memorable and would stand out as an album cut, or A-side!
I'm Gonna Drive (1994)
Jump On Top of Me (1994) (Voodoo Lounge era B-sides--to Out of Tears?)
I Go Wild (live) (1995) Live bonus track, CD single to "I Go Wild" studio A-side)
From Bridges to Babylon onward, I can't recall any except Anyway You Look at It (correct title? Was B-side to sain't of Me, 1998)
