worst filler after tatoo you

there was no filler on tatoo you steel wheels - not much but break the spell. voodoo loung, face it its loaded - new faces, moon is up, suck on the jugular may be their worst ever. dirty work is worse - hold back, winning ugly, almost wish they didnt record this album because of it, back to zero-zero. had it with you is nearly as bad. btb - not much but lowdown is mediocre. undercover so not much either -feel on baby andtie you up suck. the jurys still out on abb. decent filler includes she saw me coming-bad lyrics and biggest mistake.

There is no way that anyone can convince me that Tie You Up sucks or that Low Down is mediocre.I like Moon Is Up.She Saw Me Coming sounds more like a planned out single than filler.

Moon Is Up is not filler. Just listen to that harmonica, and the drum experiments are also vital. The Worst filler would be The Worst ;-)

stonedmike - can´t agree with you at all! on DW and SW there may be some weaker songs (ex. new faces, Sweethearts etc.), but on the whole these are good albums!

no, wandering spirit! If someone should know, what makes a good album, you should: listen to Wandering Spirit!!!! Compare it to VL or DW. A lot of fillers, boring stuff.

Break The Spell is NOT a filler! It's one of the best track on the album! I agree on "Jugular", but can't understand that you pick out Tie You Up, Feel On Baby and LowDown as fillers! Especially the two first songs are IMO great songs.

stonedmike - I so do not agree with you. Had it with you is one of the few highlights off DW. Break the Spell is IMo one of the best off SW. Lowdown, Tie You Up, Feel On Bay and Moon is Up are all EXCELLENT.

Can't agree at all. If they had left off Rain fell down, Sweet Neo and Laugh off of ABB it would be an amazing LP. It's still great with those on but they are "Skip me" tracks.

Not having the time to answer thoroughly; I believe you
should look on BtB And VL... But there are forgotten gems too
at them for sure. havent listen enuff to ABB to say if the worst fillers are
there, but my clear sense it that there a few if any fillers there imho.

<If they had left off Rain fell down, Sweet Neo and Laugh off of ABB it would be an amazing LP.>

It's strange to see the difference in taste among us stones fans. Those tracks are among the highlights of the album IMHO.

Sweet Neo Con is really growing!

Im right with you DP. The other two are my faves right off the bat. I did not dig the neocon too much at first. But it's the one always in my head. That one and the hook in "She saw me coming". Try this at work: at irregular intervals (but very often) belt out "She saw me comiiIIINNG". Feel good.

This is exactly why they have so many fans; lots of variation for a lot of different tastes on all albums>>>

I don´t like Back of my hand, but it´s no filler!
No filler on B2B, so this is for me the best record since Exile!!!!
Swwethearts together - Voodoo Lounge
Can´t be seen - Steel Wheels
The whole Dirty Work?!?
Pretty Beat up - Undercover

It is quite amusing to see the different tastes. I, for one, love SSMC and Let me down slow. I cannot see how anyone can like Laugh. Maybe Rain...maybe but Laugh? Ugh!! Streets of love is growing on me though.

As for Sweet Neocon...a 5th grader could have wrote that song. Can't you hear them on the playground:

"You called me a boogerhead. I think you are a stupidhead."

Sweet Neocon is absolutely coool!!! The Highlight for me.
Back of my hand is a Blues they could have done on every record since the first one. On Sweet Neo Ceon, Rain fall down or She saw me coming they´re trying a newer modern style. SO the Stones have to sound in 2005!!!

Gotta weigh in here...

I LOVE LIND...totally cool... I also love rain.

Only songs I have skipped on a regular basis are Neo and SOL...

Can't see anyone not liking LIND it has 2nd side tatoo You written all over it.

Glad we are all enjoying different elements...

I wonder...if SweetNeocon was praising Bush...would so many of you just LOVE the song?

Take Neo off by all means - but you just can't take Laugh off - its the best track IMO.

If the Stones were praising Bush they wouldn't be the Stones, they'd be Britney Spears.

You can count the number of times that the Stones have praised a politician on one hand. Besides Jagger's acceptance of his knighthood, I can't think of any positive political endorsement by the Stones.

Rock'n'roll songs that offer praise to the political status quo don't really make it as rock'n'roll. IMHO.

That's not the point. Point is, how many people love the song for the song and how many love it for the lyrics? I guess another way to say it is how many people would still love the song if it was not about a Politician and was just about someone Mick knew (and the lyrics were not so direct)?

I would say most would pan it.

I don't care for the Neo due to its awkward melody to be honest (IMHO)

I really like the way the guitar part at the end, Keith's second vocal including the shoop-doo-wah-oo-wah and the accordion complement each other.

Sweethearts is so obviously one of the standout tracks on Voodoo Lounge. How can it possibly be described as filler?

Back to Zero is one of the stronger Dirty Work cuts.

Hold onto Your Hat is filler...pure noise and no inspiration. Blinded by Rainbows is filler (utterly embarrassing lyrics and a cheesy tune)

Laugh I nearly died is the best ballad since Beast of Burden. ABB is growing and growing.

Lets see more of it in the live set. It might keep boredom at bay for the band if they try out a few more new tunes....
