They promised to do a UK theatre tour to compensate for the postponement of the four 1998 stadium shows for tax reasons, in addition to playing the rescheduled shows

In the end, they went back on their word and played several stadium shows in Europe instead

This time it was announced at the press conference and in the arrangements for presales on the official site that there would be theatre shows. Again, they went back on it purely for financial gain.

yes - show. Singular. One show is hardly a "tour".

It certainly wasnt the 10-12 date tour ("including cities that the band havent played on 30 years") that was promised in their official press release exactly a year earlier when the gigs scheduled for August 1998 were postponed.

no..there'll probably be a second Boston show on the 15th and then a couple of days off before MSG
