I'm from Salerno (over 150000 people)...Positano is 35 miles far from Salerno on the Amalfi Coast in the Salerno county and it is a charming and magic little town on the sea...The Stones has written MR,MM and LWM in Positano in early '69.

Part of their (dark) genius lies here : you give them a splendid mansion in a splendid town and they come up with two of the nastiest songs they ever wrote. With these surroundings you might expect anyone to come up with sunny happy songs but the Twins give birth to "Rambler" and "Monkey Man".
