Budokan 2003, Mick still had such a powerful voice and took the song to a new level.

The versions from 2013 and onwards has great playing by Ronnie but Mick's voice isn't the same.

Budokan 2003 for the vocal performance and maybe Toronto 2013 for the guitar play by Ronnie Wood.

After the Budokan 2003 rendition,Jagger seems to always sing "The nights I spend .... waiting on the sun" line in falsetto. I prefer the old way of that line not being in the falsetto voice.

The Budokan vocal over the Toronto performance could be a nice re-edit.

the studio is the best and of course it wouldve been amazing had they recorded it earlier with Taylor (nothing wrong with the solo of course) and consequently plyed it live in 1973 or so. But that said, el mo was great.

And thats why the modern live versions fail badly. Ron cant play the solo and he cant come up with a new solo - he tries to do the studio solo but he just ends up with some half assed supposodly "own version,". One needs a few tricks up the sleeve to pull it off.

*Hey you should check out the San Paulo 2016. There was a stellar clip filmed from a fan on the floor, I watched it live Periscope, then the next day,
Ronnie was fantastic and Mick, mmmmmm good.

Audun, that version from Brazil doesn' come off rushed at all IMO. True, it is a little faster than studio version, but I bet any ballad they do in that setting is going to go a tad faster than original

Well, if we're considering officially released audio versions, what is there besides the version on Live Licks, which is pretty damn good!
