Keefs familiar claw pose is like when you go back to the museum and the T-Rex hasn't moved

Black and blue ...

Is there any confirmation that the photo shoot is album-related? (I mean, apart from promo for whatever.)

I like Keith's hat!

He'll blend right in with that kind of hat in Manhattan!

So what do you think of my album cover

Through the wall, cause they hit it but came through in the end

I consider it another example of myth making. That there would have existed a wall for the creation of the longed wished for studio album by the Stones.

They were posing in front of it.

That hat reminds me of the weird "pictures with masks" VL promo article in RS the summer of 94 ;-)

Cool to see them together in that car, first time since 1997 ? Alas without Charlie :-(

Oh and Ronnie is apparently back in London (Macca picture exhibition on the 26th).

No actual confirmation, but what else could it possibly be related to? They're not touring this year. Plus, they haven't really used photo shoots to promote their recent tours either.

Almost everybody in the universe knows it's been a very long time, and seems most are anxiously awaiting a new Stones album - their first album of originals since 2005!

Most "in the universe" are anxiously awaiting it? A year ago you said "Nobody in the general public will care at all". OK. smiling smiley

In the vastness of the known universe, everything is true all at once. Few are brave enough to even reflect on that

Absolutely love this Voodoo Lounge picture. Maybe I missed it but it seems there’s a lot of promo shots from VL that weren’t really put out there. I would like to see a book of this, also include Babylon shots. This would be great in my opinion.

Looks like Keith is trying to assimilate to Ritchie Blackmore.

My thoughts exactly. Even when I saw the picture where Ronnie's wife was on
(with Keith & Jane Rose) I was thinking that they looked like they were on their way to a funeral.
Maybe it has something to do with the album dedicated to Charlie
and Charlies death in a way?

Just thinking....

Yeah, you could be into something. Probably that sort of dressing black etc. could be a cool 'Stonesian' way to pay tribute to Charlie. Orherwise I cannot see the album being that different, probably just a line somewhere at the back cover/notes book, etc. "This album is dedicated to the memory of Charlie Watts". And of course Charlie is playing there. I just don't see them stressing too far that Charlie thing. It is not just their style. Probably they know Charlie wouldn't appreciate that too much himself either.

charlie collected a lot of classic cars like the rolls royce in the video

is that one of charlie's cars?

be an interesting way to include him in some way with the photo shoot if it is

Thanks ! Somehow I did sense the "hat" was more from 1995...and unrelated to the "masks" from 1994 ;-)

I think that photo session in NYC is for the new album packaging. At this point it could be released between October and November maybe with a couple of show to support. They could touring South America/Japan/Australia in Feb/early April and Norþ America in the fall like 2021 Tour.
