Re: Why did they pick Charlie (and Mr Donkey) on the cover of Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!

The photo shown on this site is revised by a bootlegger.
The original doesn't have either Allen Klein or the 1970 concert poster.
Also the story about the photo getting shelved because of the joint, remains a poor excuse.
There was airbrusing already back then and if they could succeed in removing unwanted people from the cover of Sgt. Pepper, then they could also remove an unwanted joint.

The final cover was re-shot in 1970. Though it is obviously taken in spring / summer, it somehow still looks kind of pasted together. An outtake from the re-shoot:

Burro means donkey. There is other spanish term for Donkey: Asno
Burrito is little donkey.

Mula means Mule. You can equally use "Mula" or "Mulo"

Caballo means Horse
Yegua means Mare

Donkey x Mare = Mulo/Mula
Horse x Mule = Burdégano

In portuguese as well. thumbs up

For further meanings of "Mula" go visit North Eastern Italy ... Probably that explains Charlies Tshirt
