I have some serious doubts about the totals of some of the artists. I realize that they include album as well as singles in their totals. Canadian musician Oscar Peterson is listed as selling 100 million?!?

Peterson's been around since the Truman administration, so I wouldn't doubt that total...

I realize Oscar's been around a long time, but back in the 40's, 50's etc., I don't think that albums sold that well, partly because there were only half as many people on earth as there are now. I checked the RIAA website and none of his albums/singles has even gone gold in the US.
Unless Oscar has/had a massive following outside of North America, I don't see how he could have sold anywhere near 100 million.
Others listed, like Cliff Richard, are also surprising, although I know he has been hugely popular in England for a long time and probably sold alot of singles.
