Playing the Super Bowl would be cool, but there's just something weird about this season long hook-up with the NFL. Any body else feel weird about The Stones and The NFL together? I mean having Terry Bradshaw, or, Howy Long, (however you spell that), saying clever/cute (right) things about The Stones just does not settle well with me.

I ain't stupid, I'm just guitarded.

Just hope that Keith will button up his shirt...They'll be in a "NO NIPPLE ZONE"

I also hope that the Chargers will be there too...

I don't see how the Chargers can be there as they are part of the AFC and we all know that the Patriots will be representing the AFC. Even Mick knows that Patriots are the champions!

I like the fact that they will play. It'll be a good half time show for a change athough Macca was great

Yeah, agree also. Why does such a cash-cow like the Rolling Stones, Inc. feel it necessary to prostitute itself at every possible opportunity. If I weren't a fan for such a long time, it would really turn me off and convince me to ignore them. Shameless, really.

Macca friggin' rocked the Superbowl last year. The Stones are gonna top it of course. Damn I love this.

Will they do a medley of JJF, BS & IORR?
Will they clean up the lyrics of ONNYA?
Will the team mascots join the back-up singers on stage?
Will Keith nix having the cheerleaders on stage for HTW?

Who really cares??? They'll do a 12 minute warhorse set I'm sure, but you know those songs are totally cool, so there's no problem is there???

I heard an interview a few months ago with a guy from the NFL. He said that the NFL has been pursuing the Stones for years to do this. They have been asked every year for the past four or five and this is the first time that they didn't say no.
I think it is a cool idea.

And 5 minutes later, people will be on here complaining that they should have played "Winter", "Luxury" and "@#$%& Blues".

It interesting how we complain that we donlt see them enough and then we complain that they "prostitute " themselves. Enjoy it while you can folks,

They are old men. They won't be doing this for ever

Maybe because I don't like football (as in American football) and all of the shallow hype that goes along with the super bowl...but it seems beneath the Stones to be packaged between two halves of a game...

Not that I won't tune in....

I will only forgive the Stones playing at the Superbowl if they perform Some Girls, @#$%& Blues and lyrics like that...
