Any ideas why this isn't included in the forthcoming Mono box set ? Am I being stupid, raising this issue. Thoughts ?

From the official press release: "This year, for the first time ever, all mono studio recordings released by The Rolling Stones in the 1960s will be available in one unique historic collection."

That's why Got Live if You Want It is not included, too.

Thanks, guys.

I've never bothered much with Got Live; I always thought it was recorded down a wind tunnel

Yes, GOT LIVE IF YOU WANT IT is not included in the mono box.
Nevertheless there is a mono LP named:
HAVE YOU SEEN YOUR MOTHER LIVE!
I don't know for which country's it is or was made, but it still exist.
Mono : DECCA RED LABEL: LK 4838.
Stereo: DECCA BLUE LABEL: SLK 4838.
Greets,

They do only studio LP's in the box

Same with BB (except for SFTD, the track) and LIB, but they're included.

From Wikipedia :
"Decca Records UK released the LP [Got Live If You Want It!] as Have You Seen Your Mother Live! for export purposes, while King Records Japan released the same LP under the title Hits LIVE."

From [www.discogs.com] :
"This record was pressed in the UK, but issued in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and probably Germany."

Mono versions were issued. They may well have been fold-downs (apart from SFTD) but they were still available to buy. You never could buy a mono Ya Yas.

Much pleasure to go through and read in it.

Greets,

Janne knows more about this than most fans indeed thumbs up

However, BB and LIB were fold-downs from stereo mixes, not real mono mixes – even though they were issued. Ok? smiling smiley

I was surprised to learn that this was also the case for all of the Chess recordings. eye popping smiley

Yeah!

BTW, Paint It, Black sounds like something in-between. A «narrow» stereo mix?

DandelionPowderman,
I was young when they came out(18 & 19 years) so, I bought them,(mono & stereo)
Today I've them for years in collection.
And now? Who treated me badly?
I've bought the new LP Mono box.
I stop discussion.
greets,

greets,

Not sure what you're implying, but what you have in your collection is fold-downs of Beggars Banquet and Let It Bleed. That's very cool, but still not the same as dedicated mono mixes (like Aftermath or other earlier albums). They simply didn't make them.

This is the last interruption,
I've bought LP's Rolling Stones from the data's they came out.
NR 1 & 2 only in mono, the rest till Let it Bleed , both mono & stereo.
NR 1, 18 different issues, only 3 with short "Tell Me".
All still in my collection.
Greets,
.

"Got Live" LP in mono are the way to go, btw.
100% better than the horrendous stereo version (or the remix).

I have a Brazilian mono issue. But I've never preferred a fold down to a stereo version. Just a novelty to have.

Serious question, what is so special about the mono editions, besides being collectors item?

Just as an example, Yesterday's Papers is 15 seconds longer in the mono version:
