Lisa put on a great show in Chicago last night. Amazing voice, as we know. Nothing like a Stones show, not at all. Jazz music but with strong African, Mid-east, Rastafarian influences. Truly very unique, hard to describe, great artist with a wonderful voice. She put on a 7pm show and a 9:30pm show with the venue being cleared in between. I enjoyed the 7pm show so much that I stayed for the second show also. The set lists were very different with the second show having more rockers including her very different interpretation of JJF, Wild Horses and Gimme Shelter.
Afterwards her band members mingled. One said Lisa would not be with the Stones in October and that she was done with them. He was very definitive and clear about this. I will miss her Gimme Shelter with the boys.
Darryl Jones was in attendence as well. I spotted him after the second show. As 2120joe stated above, both shows were good, and the sets were different with the exception of a couple songs. The audience was more energetic during the second show.
