Keith Richards had apologised for mocking Mick Jagger's genitalia.

In an interview, the Rolling Stones guitarist said: "His c*ck's on the end of his nose. And a very small one at that. Big balls. Small c*ck."

The legendary songwriting duo were said to have fallen out as a result of the comments.

A spokesperson for Richards said: "He has apologised to Mick because he was trying to be complimentary and ended appearing offensive."

"But that's the end of the matter. He did say that Mick had big balls as in he admired him because he was gutsy and courageous."

"How would he know anything about the size of his willy?"

The Rolling Stones began their latest world tour in Boston earlier this week.
