All support acts, which I saw in Rolling Stones concerts, were good till very good.

The only one, who was not a pleasure, that was thumbs down Mary J. Blige thumbs down as guest in 'Gimme Shelter' in the opening night of the 50 & Counting Tour - London O2 Arena 2012. Lisa Fischer should have been the duet partner for Mick Jagger during the whole song.

I wasn't there but the Meters in 76 were a classy opening act. Too bad the audience often didn't "get" it.

The night I was there, the audience did get it. Opening for the Stones is always a big ask, though, as the audience are generally only there for the one band. Stadium and festival shows are the worst in my experience, as many of the audience have been waiting a while to get a good position near the stage and it can make for a looooooong day.

Elvis Costello in Cleveland 2002 was great.
Lenny Kravitz in Cleveland 1994 was a bit of a jerk
Living Colour in Cleveland 1989 only really caught fire when they played "Cult of Personality." Otherwise I felt bad for them. The singer, especially seemed ill at ease with the crowd.

I can´t recall much about Wembley ´95, but I do clearly remember the Black Crowes. I was out of my head, 20 years old with my girl, speed and weed in my mind, and the Crowes were promoting their Amorica album. All bongos and Santana-ish solos in the gentle evening breeze, bringing relief from the hot day.

Iggy Pop and Santana. Great opening acts! Although Iggy didn't make it through his entire set.
Buddy Guy in Wisconsin last summer. Fantastic!

For me, i'll choose :
- Elvis Costello Cleveland 2002
- Billy Preston (with MICK TAYLOR on guitar Bruxelles 73)
- Dylan Montpellier 95
- Toots & the Maytals Rotterdam 2003

Others are boring most of the time

I'm not afraid to show my age here, but my vote goes to:

Buddy Guy and Junior Wells on the European Tour 1970

Would have loved to see the following:

Ike and Tina Turner in 1966
Yardbirds in 1966
Buffalo Springfield in 1966
The Byrds in 1965 and 1966
Spencer Davis Group in 1965

and also probably would have been thrilled to see these on the same bill,
but I will not dare to call these opening acts:

Everly Brothers in 1963
Bo Diddley in 1963
Little Richard in 1963
Cyril Davies in 1962 or 1963
